Action director Sam Lee had been retired for years, but he makes a comeback when his former partner, a director, wishes to complete the last film of his career. Meanwhile, action actor Lee Sai-lung, who has been passionate about movies but has struggled to find opportunities, remains caught between his ideals and harsh realities. When the two generations of action actors meet by chance, they form an instant bond and resolve to make this "final masterpiece" reignite the glory of Hong Kong action cinema. Sam is also eager to restore his reputation, hoping to bring pride to his daughter Cherry, who is about to get married, and to mend their strained father-daughter relation-ship.
